I wish your girls all had memories of Pastor and Mrs. Sunberg. Your father-in-law made a huge impact on my life during a very difficult time for my family. My mom has told me, many years afterward, that she would burst into his office, angry and hurting, to yell at him. He would just get up from behind his desk, envelop her in a Pastor-Sunberg bear hug, and hold her while she sobbed. Her dad had just died unexpectedly when Pastor first came to Bethany, and I don’t think our family could have handled the grief without his tender, loving care.
